2023 Webby Award Winner (x1 Webby Winner, x1 People’s Voice Winner)

YouTube came to us with a problem. YouTube Shorts had been facing major competition from TikTok, Snap and Instagram Reels for Gen Z’s time and attention. One of the categories they saw significant competition in is fashion. YouTube Shorts has an incredible community of up-cyclers, thrifters and style-savvy creators who constantly and creatively put their own spin on trends using pre-loved items, but these creators were not getting the exposure and attention they deserve. So to connect with an audience who hates ads, and help re-establish YouTube Shorts’ place on the forefront of culture, we made a clothing line with the help of 40 up-and-coming YouTube creators and designers. And then we unveiled it to the world during New York Fashion Week. We called it #REMAKETHERUNWAY.
