Hi! I’m Shana (sounds like Shayna). Serious runner. Serious yogi.

Born under L.A.’s neon lights. Fueled by the edge of Hunter S. Thompson and the groove of Miles Davis.

My first paid writing gig was in middle school—writing love letters for my friends to their crushes. $10 a pop. $5 via text.

UCLA polished my prose and gave me a B.A. in English, a 4.0 GPA, and a serious addiction to Gypsy Breakfasts.

After Royce Hall, I sharpened my hooks at the Book Shop School for Ads. [begin Hunter S. Thompson VO here] It was there, in a tiny classroom in Santa Monica, that all of my advertising dreams were realized. The magic of how a brand could change everything it was saying to you with a simple change of word. Or punctuation. Or kerning. Or even the rhythm. It was alchemy to me. And I’ve never been the same.

I've been privileged to tell stories for brands like Apple, Nike, YouTube, 7UP, Meta, Toyota, Honda, and more.

Wardrobe? Nirvana tees under gold necklaces that crossed the sea with my Grandma 60 years ago.

Dawn rituals? Bossa Nova on vinyl, spinning its magic.
